Slow motion and photography reveal the real beast in dogs. Thankfully, we have phones that are capable of capturing those exact moments to share with the world. You should have your phone at the ready whenever your dog is doing some acrobatics, and this is why.
1. The Deep Blue Sea Monster
This is one of the photos of Seth Casteel’s “Underwater Dogs” book. It’s clear why his focus is on dog’s diving – it captures a completely different dimension of dogs.
2. The Side Sweeper
These two sled-pulling dogs are either big into some weird performance art, or they’re not aware of their surroundings. The sweeper certainly seems not to care too much about his actions. The “sweepee” accepted its fate.
3. Werewolf Hunting Water
No. It’s not a scene from the Twilight saga, it’s just shepherd dog viciously attacking some drops of water. I couldn’t decipher whether it hates it or loves it.
4. Shapeshifting Into A Walmart Shopping Cart
A scene from the Transformers: Doggatron Rising film with the lead actor practicing his transformation into a Walmart shopping cart. Good form on the wheels, but the face needs a bit of work.
5. Ooooohhhhhhhhh, Treat!
Christian Vieler is another photographer who likes taking photos of dogs. This series has dogs trying to catch a tossed treat. The chances of this Pug catching the treat are slim, but at least it was delighted to see it.
6. Took One To The Chest
Poor coordination or a dramatic performance? No one can tell. This Frenchie, however, seems to be taking this ball too close to its chest.
7. Ooof!
While we’re on the topic of poor coordination… This one is not acting. It’s just reacting poorly to a randomly tossed Frisbee. They say that closing your eyes makes it hurt less.
8. Smile For Lift-Off
This Greyhound (it’s hard to say for sure) loves the panorama roof. Cruising at high speed on the road is the perfect place for a smile. This grin is a little disturbing, though.
9. A Crappy Agility Course Performance
The performance was actually great until poop struck from nowhere. The handler looks distressed, but the dog seems to be relieved.
10. UFO
At first glance, this dog looked like a teddy bear. Upon closer inspection, I could see it was a dog, but still have trouble telling what is going on with the back legs. Thankfully, the ball is secure.
11. Floating Sausage
Dr. Strange hovers by the counter, taking a peek at whatever delicious thing rests in that basket. I don’t see any wires or special effects, so it must be superpowers.
