When a little stray pup was brought into a local Kansas animal shelter, she was extremely terrified and shy.
All she did was sit in the corner, as far away from hoomans as possible.
Scared Little Doggo
Apart from being so scared, she also had a spot of missing hair, which most likely occurred because she was suffering from ringworm.
Because of this, Chasing Tails Rescue, Kansas, decided to take her in and give her the medical attention she needed.
After taking the needed shots, the dog, now called Lilly, started showing progress.
Although she did not fully trust the humans around her, she began to realize that they meant no harm and that they were only there to help.
After some time at the rescue, Lilly’s real personality started shining through.
Although she still had her guard up, Lilly started running around, enjoying the loving and fun company she had at the shelter.
Seeing the progress she was making, the shelter decided that she was ready to be adopted.
Forever Home
In no time, Lilly managed to find a forever home in sunny Florida.
Her new family was so excited to meet Lilly and bring her back to their loving home.
They immediately noticed that Lilly still did not fully trust hoomans, but they knew that behind those shy eyes was a happy dog ready to start her new life.
As soon as they came home, feeling the warmth and love of her new family, Lilly started wagging her tail in appreciation.
I’m sure that she will come out of her shell and completely open up in no time, showing what a good girl she truly is!
