A 3-Month-Old Pitbull Is Saved By A Firefighter After Being Abandoned By Previous Owners

Out of all the stories I write about, I think it’s safe to say that my favorite are usually the heartwarming rescue stories.

It’s just amazing when people take responsibility for a poor and helpless dog who desperately needs a home. It shows just how much better our life is with them.

In this story, we will talk about a Pitbull who was saved by a firefighter and given a new chance.

Chunkie’s Horrible State

Just as they were performing their duties, the Sacramento firefighters came across a small Pitbull who was stuck, tied to a tree on the street.

They quickly came to the realization that the dog had been abandoned by his previous owners and just left there.

To make matters worse, the weather was horrible and she was freezing the whole time.

The firefighters were horrified by the fact that the dog was left in that state, so Mike Thawley and his crew decided to help.

They took her back to the firehouse where she received a warm bath and was curled up in several blankets to help regain her body temperature.

She spent some time there just enjoying being off the street and in a warm place. The crew members suggested taking her to an animal shelter where she would receive proper care.

After taking the dog, now named Chunkie, to the shelter, she received proper medical care for her mange and was on her way to a full recovery.

However, one of the Sacramento firefighters, Mike Thawley, was still worried about Chunkie, and decided to check up on her.

When he arrived there, the Pitbull was very happy to see him, so Thawley hugged and comforted her.

After realizing that he couldn’t just let this dog go, he waited for Chunkie’s full recovery and decided that he would adopt her.

This amazing dog is now living an amazing life of adventure in a loving home with the best family she could ever wish for.

Chunkie’s and Thawley’s story serves as a reminder to us all that sometimes, all it takes is a small act of kindness to make a dog’s day better.

We should all aspire to be like the amazing firefighters of Sacramento who strive to make an impact by helping those who need it the most.
