Golden Retriever Who Has ‘Cooked’ More Than 400 Meals Will Leave You In Awe

Dogs are my life… literally. Even though it’s my profession to work with them, and write about them, too, I still can’t get enough of these four-legged fluffy creatures. That’s why I follow lots of dogs on social media.

It’s kinda my guilty pleasure.

Another guilty pleasure of mine is cooking videos. And, if they include dogs, that’s a complete win-win situation for me.

But, how often do you see cooking videos featuring dogs? Not a lot, eh?

Well, what if I told you that I’ve stumbled upon an Instagram account of a dog that cooks?

When I found out about Chef Badger, I was very hyper and ecstatic.

Two of my favorite things, ever, put together? Oh, Lord, give me mercy!

I’ve spent hours checking out Chef Badger’s videos and, truth be told, I got hooked on them.

I bet you’ll be hooked once you see what today’s special is.

Chef Badger is WAY Better Than Gordon Ramsay

Step aside, Gordon, Jimmy, Nigella, Ina, Rachel, Guy, and all the others. There’s a new chef in town, and he deserves all the Michelin stars there are!

This superstar chef didn’t go through an official cooking school. He’s a natural talent spotted by his mom, Jessica, who is a professional chef.

The happy family from Lake Tahoe loves gourmet meals. But, even as a professional chef, Jessica found making new meals and coming up with new recipes a bit tiring. That’s when she saw she had her own sous chef, right there before her.

Little by little, she tested Badger’s skills, and he turned out to be quite a talented chef. This Golden Retriever had such a golden talent hidden inside him.

Badger became a pawsonal chef, making his pawrents super happy and incredibly delighted.

“I just thought it would be funny if Badger became our personal chef. Since I’m cooking all the time,” she says, “Badger is just there and watching me. I thought it would be funny to pick him up and see how involved he wanted to be.”

But, how do you control a Golden Retriever around food? Aren’t they quite food-motivated?

Well, Badger’s pawrents were lucky enough to end up with a Golden that just likes hanging out with them more than gobbling up food before him.

“He is so polite,” says Jessica. “I don’t even understand. He’s not very food-motivated, so it has worked in our favor.”

Of course, Badger does get rewards after filming; for example, chicken bits or his favorite – raw filet mignon. I didn’t expect anything less from this fancy dog chef.

Badger is such a sweet boy and he takes filming very seriously. He puts on his chef’s hat, his little apron, and some slides, and he’s ready for a cookdown.

However, his pawrents make sure that everything is set up before he comes on the set. The filming never lasts more than 10 minutes, although it seems like it takes hours.

Jessica ensures that Badger’s attention doesn’t dwindle, and she takes pauses whenever she feels like he needs them. All in all, the video filming process does take a lot of effort, but it’s still brief and fun, even for Badger.

Of course, chef Badger needs some help, so dad hugs him from behind and moves his arms as Jessica films the video. Their many videos are results of great teamwork.

The crowd online has recognized Badger’s talent. This superstar chef has scored over a million views online, and quite a fan base on Instagram.

Who wouldn’t like a dog that cooks the ultimate comfort food like clam chowder?

Badger is such a versatile chef that loves experimenting in the kitchen. His first sushi was a complete success.
