Dog Loves Doing Zoomies To Show His Mom How Much He Missed Her

Admin

Every dog parent knows just how heartbreaking it is to leave your dog at home when you have to go out. However, they also know just how excited their furry friends get when they return.

Pony, the pup of today’s story, is a great example of just that.

Every single time Ruchi Vikas enters her house in Farmingdale, New York, her adorable pup, Pony, simply can’t contain his excitement.

Even when she comes to pick him up at his daycare, Pony jumps all the way above the door to see if she comes to pick him up, even though she does so every day.

And, on their way home, Pony will remain quiet the whole ride. However, as soon as he comes through the door, he will start running around the apartment, leaving not a single inch untouched.

“Pony is great to come home to. I love my job, I love being an essential worker, but I have to leave him home alone for a long time,” sad Ruchi.

However, since he got used to Ruchi working an 8-hour day shift, Pony got a bit confused when Daylight Savings came around.

Best Friends

Before Pony met Ruchi, he was living in a local Farmingdale shelter weighing only 19 pounds. However, despite not having the best upbringing, Pony never lost his loving heart and optimism.

I went through a loss right before getting him. I was at a point in my life where I was really ready to have a dog but there were a lot of reasons to not get one like being in my 3rd year of med school.

Since dogs needed a lot of presence, and Pony needed a lot of love and care because of his condition, Ruchi wasn’t really sure what to do.

However, since she also needed the love and attention an adorable pup like Pony could give, she decided to adopt him.

I realized that we have a really good relationship through training and travel. We do well when we are both experiencing new things.

Ruchi also tried doing yoga with Pony, hoping that it would be another activity they could bond over. Unfortunately, Pony was very uninterested in it.

However, this did teach Ruchi a very important lesson, and that is that relationships take time.

You can’t plan for everything. Everyone always says ‘I’ll get a dog when my life is stable, I’ll get a dog when I’m out of school, I’ll get a dog when I’m out of residency, I’ll get a dog when I’m married’. But if I would have waited all that time I wouldn’t have had Pony, and nothing would be the same.

Final Word

It brings me great joy to see yet another instance of a dog brightening up the life of his loving hooman.

This serves as proof that it doesn’t take too much for happiness to enter our lives and that it can come in different shapes and sizes… and, well, breeds too.
