Imagine how scared and miserable the newborn puppies felt after ruthless people put them in a bag and threw them out of a car in Broome County, New York.

The babies, who were only two weeks old, desperately tried to escape the bag.

Hungry and lonely, the puppies missed their mom, and they hoped to reunite with her. All they wanted was to crawl into her arms for much-needed comfort and love.

A Good Samaritan collected the bag, thinking that it must be litter that someone left on the side of the road. As they held the bag in their hands, the good human couldn’t imagine the surprise that they were about to discover

When the bag started moving, the resident was shocked. They quickly opened it and discovered nine puppies who still hadn’t opened their eyes and ears.

“Nine adorable puppies were saved after being callously thrown out of a car in a bag. A bystander mistook the bag for garbage, only to find out it was filled with 9 teeny tiny neonatal puppies who are just 2 weeks old. Their eyes and ears hadn’t even opened yet,” The Broome County Humane Society wrote in a Facebook post.

The kind-hearted human fed the puppies and rushed them to The Broome County Humane Society, located in Binghamton, New York.

As soon as they arrived at the shelter, the vet thoroughly examined the newborn babies. Everyone was relieved to hear that the puppies were in good health.

The shelter staff felt devastated whenever they thought about the cruelty and abuse that the little babies endured at the beginning of their lives.

“It’s heartbreaking to think about the cruelty these innocent creatures faced,” the shelter added.

After the babies were cleared by the vet, they moved into a loving foster home.

Their foster mom provided them round-the-clock care. She cuddled them, lavishing them with attention and giving them a ton of love.

The puppies felt safe and they started thriving.

“The puppies are all doing excellent! They are receiving an abundance of love and attention from a very experienced foster caretaker who is also a vet tech,” the shelter manager, Amberly Ondria, told Newsweek.

For the very first time in their life, the puppies felt human love.

Once they are eight weeks old, the furballs will start looking for their permanent homes. Until then, they will soak up their foster mom’s love.

Thank you to the Good Samaritan who rescued the tiny puppies from the side of the road and gave them a second chance at life.
