Today is my birthday, I hope to receive everyone’s wishes

Pali was a small, scruffy dog with a heart as big as the world. He lived in a bustling city, but his days were often quiet and lonely. Today was Pali’s birthday, a day he usually looked forward to. But this year, the usual excitement was replaced by a gnawing sense of emptiness.

Pali spent most of his days wandering the streets, hoping to find a friendly face or a kind word. But the city was a cold, impersonal place. People rushed by, their eyes fixed on their phones, oblivious to the world around them. Pali longed for the companionship of a human, someone who would love him unconditionally.

As the day wore on, Pali’s spirits sank. He curled up in a sheltered doorway, his tail tucked between his legs. He thought about the happy memories of his past, when he had a family who loved and cared for him. But those days seemed like a distant dream now.

Just as Pali was about to give up hope, he heard a familiar sound. It was the gentle clinking of a leash against the pavement. He looked up and saw a kind-looking woman walking towards him. She stopped and knelt down, her eyes filled with compassion.

“Hello there,” she said softly. “Are you lost?”

Pali wagged his tail tentatively. He had never met anyone so gentle before. The woman smiled and held out her hand. Pali sniffed it cautiously, then licked her palm.

“You’re such a sweet boy,” she said. “Would you like to come home with me?”

Pali’s heart leaped with joy. He had been waiting for this moment for so long. He followed the woman eagerly, his tail wagging furiously.

As they walked away from the city, Pali looked up at the sky. For the first time in a long time, he felt a sense of peace and belonging. He knew that his life was about to change, and he couldn’t wait to see what the future held.
