The love of a dog is a pure thing. He gives you a trust which is total. You must not betray it.
When thinking about this quote from writer, Michel Houellebecq, I am constantly reminded of just how often people ignore this.
Not many people realize that a dog’s trust is something that is hard to repair after it’s broken. It’s the reason why so many stray dogs are terrified of people.
They put their faith in us all the time, but we let them down. In this story, we will talk about a scared dog who refused to be rescued out of fear of humans.
A Very Difficult Rescue
When Loreta Frankonyte and other rescuers heard about a stray dog who was running around the streets of California, there was little time to waste.
With such fear of humans, there was a chance that something bad could happen if she was running around a road.
So, they rushed to help him immediately. It took them a while to get there, but they found the pup almost immediately.
However, upon seeing them, she just started running away as far as she could. The poor animal was probably completely terrified and didn’t know what to do.
Apparently, there was also another dog there with her, but somebody managed to catch him.
A Very Happy Resolution
They followed her for as long as they could, but she would just never stop. And, just when all hope seemed to be lost, the dog just stopped running in a park.
The rescuers managed to get close enough to show that they were not a threat and this sweet dog finally relaxed a bit.
Loreta decided to name her Tiffy, and she was now heading to the car where they would have to figure out a plan for the other dog.
After taking Tiffy to a veterinarian where they treated her, the two people who saved the other dog called and brought her to the clinic as well.
As it turned out, the other dog, Sophie, is Tiffy’s daughter. She was so happy to see her baby girl again and spent the whole time supervising her treatment.
The two were inseparable after being rescued, and it only made sense to help them find a home in California where they could stay together.
Fortunately, the plan worked. The mom and the daughter were both adopted together and are now living in their forever home with a very good family.
