Every dog typically settles for a person who provides him with enough love and attention.
However, Mav is not built that way!
Aside from his daily needs, this Florida boi just craves something that no dog seems to desire! This fabulous little guy craves – running!
You read it right.
Ever since he’s tasted the joys of a run club, Maverick can’t get enough of it. Now, no matter what, he’s determined to continue his running streak with his momma!
The Dynamic Running Duo
Mav’s life in Florida has been nothing but amazing lately. As soon as he moved there with his mom, Melissa, he unexpectedly stole the hearts of dozens of people over one shared passion – running!
For some reason, Mav loves to go to a run club with his mom and experience all the joys it provides its members.

Every morning, he has the same, well-known routine with Melissa that makes Mav so excited. First, he wakes up with his mom calling him “to get ready.” It is safe to say that he loses it right there!
He immediately jumps off his bed and puts a big smile on his face, knowing what’s coming next.
Then, he puts on his specially-designed running equipment and waits for his momma to put on her running shoes, gets in the car – and the rest is history!
Every day and every run is like a brand-new adventure for Mav.
It literally transformed his life and the life of his momma, as the run club is a place where they met all these wonderful friends.
“Going to run club really has changed my life,” Melissa told The Dodo.
Mav – The Greatest Wingman
Mav is all about the adrenaline and the huddle!
“As soon as the leader of our run club grabs his megaphone and starts getting people in the huddle, that’s when we start to get feral. He just cannot control himself at run club. He forgets all of his manners,” says Melissa.
It’s as if he almost doesn’t care how hilarious, silly, or out of control he looks. He just enjoys himself and radiates good vibes!
On the positive note, his passion for going to a run club has helped Melissa gain lots of friends. Typically, she gets a little nervous about meeting new people, but Mav doesn’t have that problem. So, he takes that part of the job covered instead!
“Mav is the greatest little wingman because I’m nervous to go up and meet people, and so, I have Mav who’s just running up to everybody. He’s like: ‘Hey, you’re here for me’,” says his momma.
Today, he’s the cutest, most popular member of the club, and everybody loves him so much!
Each and every member knows who Mav is. Thanks to his affectionate personality, he’s become the face of the club.
“We just started to go every week, and Mav, he really started to make himself known. They welcome him with open arms. Everybody knows his name,” his mom adds.
One thing is for sure – Melissa can’t imagine her life without Mav. Having him bring all the positive changes in her life over the years is truly rewarding, and it definitely wouldn’t be the same without him.
