Aah, strawberries, the irresistible berries of late spring. I don’t know if anyone could resist them, not even dogs. They are delicious, nutritious, and refreshing treats for our canine buddies.
I don’t see why Amber Bobnar was so surprised someone was stealing off of her strawberry bush.
The northeast USA-based woman has a lovely strawberry bush with pink flowers, and it was in full bloom this spring. But someone seemed to be enjoying them way too much.
Who was the culprit, or better yet, the strawberry thief?
Can Amber catch it before all the strawberries are gone?
Four-Legged Strawberry Thief… I Mean Strawberry Inspector
I didn’t know strawberries with pink flowers could grow in the northeast of the USA, but apparently, they can. The species that gives one of the juiciest and sweetest berries grows successfully in the garden of Amber Bobnar.
Bobnar is quite proud of her wonderful garden and her plants, especially the strawberry one. However, one day, Amber noticed her berry bush was a bit different: someone was stealing off it!
Amber immediately thought of an idea of how to catch the strawberry thief. She set up her phone to record the whole thing. It didn’t take long before Amber could spot her berry bandit.
It wasn’t a bird, not the neighbor’s cat.
It was her very own dog!
Caught on tape, her Labrador Retriever, Ipo, casually sniffed around the bush and went for it. Ipo did not see the camera, and she did not care whose strawberries those were.
She wanted them, so she snatched the opportunity.
Was she sorry? Absolutely not.
Would she go again? Absolutely, yes, if she gets the chance.

Amber realized she would have to keep an eye on those strawberries if she wanted to finally try them.
And the TikTok community realized she’s got nothing on Ipo! Amber only caught Ipo sniffing around the bush. Does she have footage of her eating them? Does she see Ipo with her mouth full of strawberries? I think not!
TikTok users have gone wild about the strawberry thief. The video Amber posted on her account scored almost a million views and it’s still spreading online like wildfire. Everyone wants to be Ipo’s lawyer and save her from the berry trial.
“Oh she gets strawberries pretty regularly with her food so I think she figured we just set the plant out for her,” says Amber in a comment under the video.
Gee, I don’t know what to say, Amber. Putting up a strawberry plant next to a dog that LOVES them so much… You had it coming, girl!
I don’t know about you, but I’ll definitely click that follow button to see if Ipo finally gets to eat all the strawberries off that bush and get away with it.
