Saddest Birthday: My foster parents planned to put me in a shelter

Fiti, a small, fluffy puppy with big, brown eyes, was feeling heartbroken. Today was his first birthday, a day he had imagined would be filled with joy and celebration. But instead, he was facing the prospect of being abandoned.

His foster parents, Sarah and David, had loved him dearly, but they had recently decided they couldn’t keep him anymore. It was a difficult decision for them to make, but they knew they couldn’t provide the attention and care he needed.

As Fiti was placed in the back of the car, he looked back at the house, his tail drooping low. He missed his familiar surroundings, the comfort of his bed, and the playful games he used to have with his foster siblings.

The shelter was a noisy, chaotic place. There were dogs barking, cats meowing, and people shouting. Fiti felt overwhelmed and scared. He missed the quiet and peace of his foster home.

As the day wore on, Fiti’s sadness grew. He curled up in his kennel, his big, brown eyes filled with tears. He tried to remember the happy times he had spent with his foster family, but the memories only made him miss them more.

Just as Fiti was about to give up hope, he heard a gentle voice calling his name. He looked up and saw a kind woman approaching. She had come to the shelter looking for a new pet and had been drawn to Fiti’s sweet face.

The woman took Fiti home with her and gave him a loving home. As Fiti curled up in his new bed that night, he felt a sense of peace and contentment. He knew he would never forget the day he was abandoned, but he was also grateful for the kindness of the stranger who had saved him. Fiti realized that even though his birthday had started off on a sad note, it had ended up being the best day of his life.
