Extreme heat can be a tough time for our furry friends, especially when they do not have proper shelter.
Sadly, thousands of dogs struggle with the heat in various places, including streets, remote areas, landfills, or woods. As a result, many of these furballs have a really tough time and few manage to save themselves without human assistance.
One woman stumbled upon such a scene in her field, and she was left shocked. A puppy lay completely motionless at the edge of survival until she decided to take action.
Found At The Last Moment
The woman was completely devastated by the heartbreaking site. The pup didn’t have the strength to lift its head up. Instead, this teeny-tiny baby lay as if it had completely given up on life.
It was extremely hot in the area. The temperature reached an intense 107 degrees, causing the puppy to collapse.
She didn’t think twice, and immediately took the puppy to her car and transported it to the nearest vet clinic.
During the exam, the vets noticed severe wounds on the puppy’s neck. Even though its history was vague, the team assumed that the puppy suffered an attack from a much bigger animal, which originally put it in this condition.
This two-month-old baby was immediately subjected to 24/7 care and treatment. It was fed using a syringe and its wounds were treated timely.
Sadly, the furbaby still wasn’t strong enough to open its eyes or lift its head up. All the puppy needed was time. And, luckily, now it had plenty!
During the first week in intensive care, the pup started to show signs of progress.
This resilient baby already started to eat some soft food, and made teeny-tiny steps. But, that was about it. It still had a long time to go, and its rescuers were patient.
The pup’s rescuer visited almost on a daily basis, bringing her other dog to cheer his new sibling up. She knew that the pup needed someone to take care of it, and couldn’t let go. Just like that, this baby got a brand-new home and a brand-new family!
In just a couple of weeks, with some love and TLC, the puppy was ready to go to its forever place.
Say Hello To The World, Chubby
It was a long, difficult journey full of ups and downs, but the puppy finally made it.
It replaced the clinic with a nice, comfy home, and the family that loved it so much. It took this little furry baby only a few weeks, but it eventually grew up into this happy, chubby pup.
The woman couldn’t be more grateful to see her newest member of the family finally having a big smile on its face.
What was once a motionless puppy with no fighting chance in this life is now a happy-go-lucky dog with endless tomorrows ahead.
Thanks to its new momma’s selfless efforts, the pup now enjoys having exciting adventures with its new doggo brother. From now on, life will be nothing but sweet!
