After Over 1500 Days Spent At The Shelter, This Adorable Pup Is More Than Ready For A Forever Home

Admin

As much fun as they have in their shelters, every single animal has one wish – to find a home.

Whenever they have potential adopters visiting, they put on their best behaviors, paint a smile on their faces, and do everything they possibly can to be noticed.

Even though this tactic is proven to work, it doesn’t always succeed. And Finn, an adorable Pittie mix, knows this too well.

As much as he tries to be the bestest of the boys ever, for some reason, hoomans keep looking over him. This resulted in him being stuck at the shelter for more than 1500 days!

When he was taken in by Wags and Walks Rescue, a rescue organization based in Los Angeles, California, Finn was only six months old.

Since puppies usually get adopted pretty quickly, the staff members knew that he would be off to a new home at any moment. And they were right!

A loving family noticed this sweet boy and took him into their home where he happily grew up into the sweetest doggo ever. However, to everyone’s surprise, Finn was surprisingly returned to the Los Angeles shelter one year later.

Being returned to the shelter is never an easy thing. It leaves many pups super depressed and Finn wasn’t different. He completely shut out the outside world, paying no attention to any hooman who would walk past his kennel.

Four years have passed and, unfortunately, he still calls the shelter his home.

However, the hoomans at his shelter refuse to give up on him. They pay extra attention to this sweet boy, providing him with everything he needs in order to overcome his loneliness and allow his true colors to shine.

Time To Go Home

After spending over 1500 days confined to a kennel, I think that we can all agree that this sweet boy deserves a home.

He is a big boy with the cutest personality and manners, but he does not have much energy anymore. He tends to be nervous in new environments, but given time to adjust, Finn turns into the best boy ever.

He loves playing with other doggos, but he turns into a couch potato as soon as he lays down.

“Finn went to training school with Rosewood K9 where he learned all kinds of commands, how to walk nicely on a leash, and how to love his crate. He is very food-motivated, and will always show off for a treat or two,” writes his adoption application.

This doggo would absolutely thrive in a patient home as he needs a little bit of time to settle in. He would also do best in a home without small kids but he would love to have fur siblings!

“This boy is such a gem and we can’t wait for this gentle giant to find his forever home!” they concluded.

If you or anybody you know could take this sweet boy in and provide him with the life he deserved all along, feel free to fill out his adoption application or contact the Wags and Walks Rescue for more information.
