I must admit, I have seen my fair share of horrifying things when reading through dog rescue stories, but this one left me completely shocked.
This sweet mama dog was trying to provide for her babies in a very unpleasant neighborhood. She spent some time digging the trash for food when something horrible happened.
The poor dog was hit by a cruel person. The beating was so bad that the pup ended up breaking her front leg. All she could do was crawl back to her babies and hope for help.
When the rescuers were finally made aware of her existence, they immediately took off to find and help her.
They Were Starving
After finding the dog, they were just shocked to see the state she was in. The poor pup was completely malnourished and was trying to feed her babies.
While they had no food, she was lying on dirty clothes left there by other people. The puppies also looked weak and malnourished. It was clear life was not easy for them.
The rescuers asked other people what happened. According to their story, this mama dog belonged to an elderly man who passed away.
After he passed away, she was forced onto the street and has been just trying to survive ever since. When the rescuers approached the dog family in order to help them, they did not resist at all.
They were not afraid. All they wanted was to be shown some kindness, and the mama dog probably understood that she was going to be saved.
When they were placed in the car, the kind rescuers took them to a veterinarian clinic so they could receive the help they desperately needed.
Frenzy’s Surgery
After arriving at the clinic, both the mom and her puppies received a lot of food and milk in order to regain their strength.
During the night, the mama dog could not sleep because of pain. Her broken leg hurt very badly and the vets had to do something.
They performed an X-ray and realized that her bone was broken pretty badly. They need to add a metal bar to stabilize it.
The vets performed the surgery on the mama dog, now named Frenzy, and everything went well. She was going to be okay.
This brave mama dog was making headway in her recovery, in the care of the vets and her rescuers. Everything was going really well.
Their New Lives
After some time passed, she was discharged from the clinic and her rescuers took her to the park for a small walk.
While she could not fully rely on her healing foot, she still enjoyed being outside and enjoying her time with people who cared deeply for her.
As time went on, the rescuers realized that it was soon time to find a forever home for all of these puppies and their mom.
So, naturally, all of her babies found lovely families and are just living their best life. While Frenzy was a bit sad to be the only one left, there was more good news.
The rescuers found a new family for her as well. Even though they were all separated and are living in different places, they are still close enough to see each other sometimes.
Their families make sure that they see each other on an annual basis, where they have a really big playdate. Everyone just loves it and I am so happy to see they are all doing so great.
