Most of the dogs who are living on the streets try to stay as far away from hoomans as possible.
But sometimes, a pup would gather up all of its courage and approach a person, hoping that the person would offer it a helping hand.
One pup did exactly this!
She was nothing but flesh and bones, dragging her tired body across the street and all the way to a random house. The doggo hoped that a kind person lived there and that they would at least spare some food for her.
But something much better happened.
You Are Safe Now
The pup hung out at the front door for some time before the owner finally noticed her. When she did, she ran outside, saw the pup’s state, and carried her into their home so that she could give her some food.
After a delicious meal and a good night’s rest, the woman carried the pupper into her car and took her swiftly to the vet.
The pup, now named Rosie, was diagnosed with malnutrition.
This meant that her hooman now needed to really focus on her meals, giving her food that was rich in vitamins and nutrients. And she did exactly that.
As soon as they returned home, Rosie’s new housekeeper prepared her delicious meals so that she could gain some healthy weight.
One Step At A Time
Unfortunately, the pup was so weak that he couldn’t even stand on his own paws let alone walk.
But not to worry… the hooman made sure to spend a lot of time with Rosie outside, showing her how to stand and helping her slowly take her first steps.
And, over time, she started doing it all by herself!
Rosie would wobble around the house, exploring every nook and cranny.
She also started to gain a lot of healthy weight which made both her and her hooman extremely happy.
I’m sure that as the days pass, sweet girl Rosie will not only regain her full health but also find a loving family who will provide her with a life full of love, happiness, and adventure!
And what’s better than that?!
Final Word
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of pups who share Rosie’s unfortunate faith right this second!
They roam the streets looking for scraps of food and puddles of water so that they can fill their hungry stomachs.
But we can change this!
If we come together as a community and help our stray animals and shelters, we can ensure that these sweet fur babies get the life they deserve!
