This Pup Spent 420 Days In The Shelter Looking For His New Family But He Is Always Overlooked

Admin

Pups who end up staying at the shelter longer than they anticipated tend to get extremely depressed. However, not everybody shows it in the same way.

Some pups tend to hide in the corner of their kennel, trying to disappear from the world. Some would start circling around their kennel as a way of coping with all the stress.

But then there are those who garter up those last ounces of energy they have, sit in the display, and start wagging their tail, hoping that somebody would finally notice them.

A dog named Gumbo falls in that last category. Even though he spent an entire year in the Palm Valley Animal Society, he still hasn’t lost hope.

After so much time, this adorable Shepherd/Hound mix really did start considering the Texas shelter as his home.

And even though he kept on listening to all those loud whimpers and cries coming from his friends, Gumbo kept his spirits high and his hopes higher!

So, whenever the shelter gets some hooman visitors, he immediately runs to the door of his kennel, politely sits down, and patiently waits for somebody to notice him.

Not being able to have enough of his adorable routine, the shelter workers decided to take to their TikTok and show to the world what a good boy this doggo truly is.

Even though the post gathered a lot of attention, adorable Gumbo still hasn’t found a forever home.

But you can change that!

Meet Gumbo

Trying to make as many people notice him, the shelter made a little poster that they put up on their front door. It displays all the necessary information you need to know about him!

But that is not all!

The official Facebook page of the City of Edinburg, Texas, decided to make a post dedicated completely to this adorable boy. They wanted to ensure that as many people as possible found out about him and his situation.

“Gumbo is the life of the party once he warms up, and he loves mingling with people. Gumbo has a moderate energy level and is always up for an adventure, like exploring new places and going for runs,” read the post.
