Every owner wants to give his dog the best to make him happy and satisfied. In addition to tasty and nutritious food, clean water, a roof over his head, and countless kisses, this certainly includes regular hygiene as well.
If the owner takes care of it, his pet will avoid some nasty infections and smell good, but he will also look nice. However, not every dog has the same needs, and if the owner or someone who takes care of him is not aware of this, he can do his dog more harm than good.
Something similar happened in Miami, Florida, when a mother, with the best of intentions, decided to take her daughter’s dog to the groomer.
Instead of a smile on her face, she produced tears in her eyes.
From Trim To Grim
The dog named Jax became a member of this family when he was a puppy. Today, he is seven years old and is one of the most beautiful Pembroke Welsh Corgis in Miami, especially in the eyes of his owner, Adriana Serret.
Although Adriana’s mom also thought he was a cutie, one day, she decided to take him to the groomer, even though it is known that this breed does not need regular grooming. Unfortunately, she was apparently unaware of this.
When the grooming session ended, she embraced a completely different dog and was very confused. Yet, the situation truly escalated when her daughter, Adriana, saw him – she was simply stunned when she saw what her Jax had turned into.
“My mom wanted to trim his hair a bit because it was really hot. There must’ve been a misunderstanding between the groomer and my mom, and that’s how we got him back. I was devastated because you’re not supposed to cut corgis’ hairs,” Adriana told Newsweek.
Adriana decided to share this awful transformation with her followers, so she posted a TikTok clip via her account, @adrianaserret.
“When my mom took our corgi to the groomer for a ‘trim…’” it was stated. “And this is how he came back.”
“I legit cried LMAO,” devastated Adriana wrote in the caption of the clip.

This particular clip has not only attracted attention within the confines of Miami, Florida, but across the country and even beyond.
There were numerous reactions, and we decided to highlight some of the comments.
“I’m really gullible. Are you sure this is the same dog?😭 Who would do such a thing?” one user asked worriedly.
“oh nooooo! so bad for corgi coats 😭,” another added.
While the third joked: “dropped off a Corgi, got back a Jack Russel.”
Although some were delighted with this transformation, as can be seen from the comments, for those who weren’t, we saved the good news for last.
“His hair started growing back a few weeks later and he was back to his normal self four months later,” Adriana happily stated in the end.
Although you had to live with the fact of having a Jack Russell Terrier in the house instead of a Corgi for several months, this story still had a happy ending – at least for Jax’s mom.
