Every dog dreams of living a carefree life in a nice, cozy home.
While this is the privilege of some, many other canines never get that chance. Or, they have their dreams shattered in the middle of the journey when they are abandoned by their owners.
I can’t even begin to imagine their heartbreak the moment they find out they are completely alone in this world. Just picture it – in one moment, you’re having a nice, cozy nap in a warm home, and in the next, you’re struggling to survive in the street.
This is exactly what happened to a bonded pair of pups found on the streets in a small cardboard box…
Two Hopeful Pairs Of Eyes Peeking
A rescuer who runs a small shelter nearby heard loud, high-pitched sounds coming from just a few inches away from the entrance. When he opened the door, he saw a well-soaked cardboard box hiding the saddest surprise ever!
He immediately rushed over to check it out – and was shocked!
There they were, two hopeful puppies peeking from the box. Their coats were completely wet from all the rain that was pouring down. In the box, they had no food or water, but only each other.
The man couldn’t believe that someone was cruel enough to leave these helpless babies outside. They were clearly abandoned, but instead of leaving them at a shelter, they were left in the most heartless way possible.
The moment they saw the man standing above them, they started jumping in circles. It was as if they were waiting for him this entire time. And, when he finally arrived, they just knew that from now on, everything would be fine!
It was sad and rewarding at the same time. The puppies, let down by one human, now found their way to another!
Safe And Sound, Waiting For Better Days To Come
The kind-hearted rescuer wasted no time. He scooped up the pups and treated them for parasites.
Then, the second most rewarding moment unfolded before his eyes! He placed a small metal bowl on the ground and filled it with delicious food. The pups, seeing it, immediately ran over and started to eat.
The bowl was empty within minutes. These brave, hungry furballs ate everything in a heartbeat, indicating that they were, indeed, starving that day.
After the initial “getting-to-know-each-other” period, the man introduced the bonded pair with the rest of the shelter’s pack. It didn’t take these sweet pups long until they befriended every single dog in their new temporary home.
They were truly sweet, longing for love and cuddles. It really wasn’t hard for them to immediately capture everyone’s hearts.
For now, the puppies will be staying at a shelter, waiting for their second chance at life. When the time is right, there’s no doubt that these sweet cuddle bugs will make some family really happy!
