When united for a good cause, humanity has no limits!
Recently, a fire broke out in The Dog Resort day care in Seattle, WA, putting in danger over a hundred dogs. But, that’s where all the greatness of humanity came on display! People from neighboring businesses rushed over to help the resort staff save their animals.
Local Community At Its Best
Employees from the PSR Mechanical, who were working across the street, as well as the staff from the next-door Mexican restaurant rushed to The Dog Resort as soon as they spotted the smoke.
The fire had broken out around 11 A.M. in the dryer room. The daycare staff were in panic, as there were so many dogs they needed to take care of, but luckily, the good people of neighboring businesses were there to help.
The dogs were terrified and stressed out as they were taken in front of the facility. The situation was chaotic, as there was a whole crowd of dogs that needed to be rescued.
“They were very, very scared, and some were crying. They were, you know, a little whiny,” said one of the employees of the Mexican restaurant.
“It was one of those situations where we didn’t know exactly what to do, but we knew we had to help,” said one of the people who came by to help.
In just a few minutes, the police, firefighters, and the people from animal control in Seattle came to the spot to provide help.
Everyone had their own little part in the rescue. People from PSR Mechanical gathered the dogs in their fenced-in yard, and others were trying to keep the dogs away from the street.
In no time, all 115 dogs were saved from the building. Unfortunately, five dogs sustained serious injuries and they were immediately transported to the local animal hospital.
The Doggos Were Safely Returned To Their Families
Some of the owners whose dogs were in the daycare saw on the news that the fire broke out and they were extremely worried and petrified. Luckily, all dogs were successfully returned to their family. The reunion, as you can expect, was emotional beyond belief!
This heroic rescue was recognized by the mayor of Seattle, who visited PSR Mechanical and theAceitunos Mexican Foods, and he gave them a letter of recognition.
“One of the really cool things that happened was on Friday, the mayor actually came by and got to spend some time with the employees, and gave us a little letter of recognition, and that was really a nice touch by the city of Seattle,” said one of the workers at PSR.
This humane act will serve as a testament to the true friendship between dogs and humans, and also as proof that unity is what makes humanity alive. We wish all rescuers, dogs, and their owners a long, happy life together!
