I’ve seen dogs play fetch.
I’ve seen them play tag.
I’ve seen them play all kinds of games.
But, I’ve never seen a dog play hide and seek before.
What started as a way of hiding from scary scenes on the TV turned into a fun game for Lola and her owner.
Three years later, the dynamic duo is still enjoying their fun games together, especially the canine version of hide and seek.

Ready Or Not, Here I Come!
It was a rainy day when Dutch stumbled upon Lola. She was sitting out on the lawn with her sibling, and before them was a sign that said “puppies looking for a good home”.
Dutch felt sorry for the poor babies. His friend took one of the girls, and the best thing Dutch could do was bring one of them home, too. And, his choice was Lola. She was clearly afraid… unaware of what was happening.
Dutch immediately proved to be a good doggy daddy. He brought Lola to PetSmart and bought her all kinds of toys, accessories, and dog stuff she needed. It was definitely love at first sight, and Lola could tell she was finally safe.
When she arrived at her new home, Lola immediately ran under the chair in the living room, claiming it as her own space. It became her safe zone and a place to relax and process everything that was going on in her life.
But, it also became a place to hide when something scary showed on the TV. Needless to say, Lola doesn’t like the new Lion King, nor any dinosaur movies. Jump scare flicks? No, thank you!
Soon enough, Lola’s hiding place became a source of fun for both Dutch and the little GSD mix.
Lola learned to play hide and seek!
Every time Dutch asked her to play the game, she’d immediately run under her chair and hide. It’s the best place in the house, and Dutch definitely can not see her hiding underneath!

On one occasion, Dutch even listened to his followers on Instagram and hid the chair in the garage, and then asked Lola to play hide and seek. The look on her face when she figured out her chair was gone was priceless.

To make things even more hilarious, Dutch tried replacing her chair with a stool. That didn’t go well either!

But, every childhood game seems to come to an end. Playing hide and seek with a smol pupper has its expiration date. Lola grew up. She is no longer a puppy! She’s a lovely young girl, but her heart still tells her she wants to play.

The only thing Dutch could do for his beloved girl was get new armchair legs so Lola could fit underneath!
