No, I’m not crazy. My mom had me tested when I was a kid!
I’m telling you the truth. How else could you explain those viral videos of dogs clearly saying “I love you” to their hoomans?
Those aren’t glitches nor staged videos. Those dogs really talk!
The popularity of talking dogs started some 11 years ago with Mishka, the talking Husky. Soon, a bunch of talking dogs stepped out of the shadow and started entertaining the crowd.
To this day, those dogs are still popular. While we may not have that many talking dogs, it’s still nice to know they’re around and they might speak when they feel it.
One of those pooches that’s not afraid to talk is Luna. Her hoomans filmed her saying “I love you” and a bunch of other things, too.
If you need to hear those magical words today, maybe it’s time to watch one of Luna’s videos and have her say it to you!
Those Three Magical Words
With more than 210K followers on Instagram, Luna the Pittie is a real superstar. She’s a charming girl with a super sweet heart characteristic of all Pitbulls… an absolute gem, and a dog everyone wishes to have!
But, those aren’t the reasons why Luna became popular.
Like many of her canine buddies, Luna decided it was time for hoomans to find out she can talk. So, she started showing them how much she loves them by simply saying three magical words:
I love you!
Let me stop you there: she really says it!
I know the Internet is full of clickbaity videos these days… some even claim their dogs recite poetry. But, when you click on them, you find out it’s nowhere near the truth.
Luna is 100% true… and honest, too! When Luna says she loves someone, she really does!

More Love From Our Dogs Going Viral
As much as Luna loves saying I love you, she loves hearing it from her favorite people, too!
Dogs are social creatures. They love being surrounded by people they love, and they love receiving affection even more.
This isn’t some crazy talk or me trying to make dogs equal to hoomans. There’s really a scientific explanation behind this!
According to Canine Cottages, all dogs love hearing I love you and the proof of that lies in their increased heart rate. When a dog hears those three special words, his heart rate will increase by 46.2%. That’s incredible!
This means our dogs will be more excited to hear us say I love you than receiving cuddles or actually seeing their hoomans after a while.
As a matter of fact, a dog’s heart rate decreases by 22.7% when you give him cuddles. Seeing their hoomans after a while will only make their heart go faster by 10.4%.
Shannon Keary, from Canine Cottages, says:
“It’s amazing to see that our dogs’ heart rate increases when they are told they are loved, showing excitement, and it decreases when having cuddles, showing contentedness.”
Don’t let a day go by without you telling your dog how much you love him or her.
