This is puppy love between two pawdorable pooches!
When I was a kid, I used to believe dogs can fall in love the way humans do. My friends told me I was a bit… well, odd, in a lack of good words.
But, I knew I was right! I knew it from the bottom of my heart. And, when I first saw Winnie and Chips kissing on the window, I knew I wasn’t… odd.
Canine love exists, and it’s even purer than human love!

Winnie And Chips, Sitting In The Tree, K-I-S-S-I-N-G
Technically, they’re not sitting in the tree.
Winnie and Chips were kissing, indeed, but they were doing it on an open window!
I knew Poodle mixes are especially friendly, but I didn’t know they were THIS friendly.
Winnie, the sweet Labradoodle, loves making friends more than anything. She’s the ultimate people/dog person, and she doesn’t care whether you walk on all fours, or on just two legs. To Winnie, you’re a friend.
On one of her most recent outside adventures, or better yet, pursuits after new friends, Winnie spotted a potential love interest. To make it an even bigger surprise, it was right before her nose, in an apartment next to hers.
It took two months for Winnie to discover that she wasn’t the only dog in the apartment complex. That’s when she ran into Chips. Even through the closed window, Winnie could see that this dashing boi was her soulmate.
“As soon as she spotted him, she started doing zoomies in the yard and ran up to the window to kiss him,” Sarah Madden, Winnie’s mom, said.
From that day on, a bit of an obsession was born in Winnie. Needless to say, Chips responded with love, too.
“It’s the first thing she does when she goes outside — she’ll run to the window to see if he’s home,” Sarah said. “She gets a little sad when he isn’t. If she hears Chips going for a walk, she always runs to the front door to try and say hi when he walks past.”
However, the love drive-thru window didn’t allow the two pups to properly introduce themselves. Their brief encounters needed to be stepped up a notch. Like a true gentleman, Chips took the matter in his own hands.
Chips sent Winnie a Valentine’s day card, asking her to be his Valentine.
The pawdorable Labradoodle was over the moon! She and her mom knew they had to respond immediately. God forbid another pup in front of the street becomes Chips’ Valentine.
So, they rushed to the pet store, grabbed the coolest toy they could find for Chips, and sent back a note, asking Chips out on a date.

Wow, such a bold move! Way to go, Winnie!
Of course, Chips couldn’t say no. He was too excited to see his Valentine from head to toe pads. He took Winnie out to Puppuccinos and the fresh couple had a blast!

“Winnie had only ever seen Chips through the window, so when they finally got to walk together, she was a little nervous,” Madden said, “but it didn’t take her long to warm up, and they were so happy together!”
The second date is yet to happen. Both Winnie and Chips are picking the pawfect spot. Until then, they meet occasionally and share sniffs through the window or through the screen door.
Winnie and Chips’ love story got people on TikTok so involved that some even say it’s more interesting than their own.
Unfortunately, just recently, Winnie’s mom told her they had to move, so they won’t be living next to Chips anymore. It was a heartbreaking, revealing moment. The girls made a special going-away present for Chips.

Even though they won’t be neighbors anymore, they all strongly believe that Winnie and Chips’ relationship will survive all the obstacles
