Our hearts break for all the defenseless puppies who get dumped by their owners. It’s such a heartless thing to do. Instead of soaking up all the love they deserve, the innocent puppies feel rejected and hurt.
Lilo and Stitch, two charming sibling puppies, were abandoned, too. They were left on the side of the road, hoping somebody would save them.
Fortunately, a wonderful human came along and rescued them. Here is how it happened.
Rescuing A Tiny Puppy
On August 3rd, in 2023, Karra Bridgewater was out driving in Montgomery, Texas, when she saw a little furry creature near the road.
She got out of her car right away. When the tiny creature saw her approaching, he hid behind a pole. He was terrified.
Karra gently took him in her arms and was instantly smitten with the cute puppy that was looking at her.
She carried him to her car and took him home. Seeing that the little pup was covered in fleas, she gave him a bath. After six or seven washes, all the fleas were removed.
After an hour-long bath, both Karra and the puppy were tired.
Karra wrapped him in a towel and dried him off.
Realizing that he was in good hands, the pup was relieved. Karra’s son couldn’t wait for him to get cleaned so that they could cuddle. The pup loved snuggling with him and he was so relaxed and carefree that he fell asleep.
Kara went to the store to buy him food and some toys.
A Cute Surprise
When she came home, she took the pup outside to go potty. When she came to check up on him, she was surprised to see that there was another adorable puppy hanging out with the pup that she found.
Seeing that the puppies looked similar and that they were probably the same age, Karra assumed that they were siblings. The two pups seemed content to be together, and they were sniffing each other.
The second pup was also infested with fleas, and Karra gave her a bath to get rid of them.
Karra wondered how the other puppy ended up at her door. Her house was far away from the place where she found the first puppy and that’s why she thought that somebody abandoned the second puppy near her home.
She didn’t exclude the possibility that the puppy sister tracked her brother by sniffing him out.
Later, Karra went back to the same spot to investigate and see if she could find the puppies’ mother and more brothers and sisters.
“I’ve drove around multiple times looking for more or even a mama dog but I haven’t seen anything. & we live in a heavy wooded area so it makes it tough.”
Karra took the puppies to see the vet, and they received their vaccinations. Both puppies were diagnosed with worms. After they got their medications, they went back home and continued their treatment there.
It Was Meant To Be
The two charming puppies brought so much happiness into the Bridgewater family.
From the first day the puppies came to their home, Karra’s children fell in love with them and enjoyed playing with them.
Convinced that everything happens for a reason, Karra and her family decided to adopt the cute siblings. They didn’t want to separate them after everything they had been through. The pups were named Lilo and Stitch.
The siblings are happy that they can grow up together in their forever home, surrounded by their wonderful family who loves them very much.
