When Steven Lee Jr. and his friends went to SoFi Stadium, in Inglewood, California, to watch the band, Metallica, perform, they saw a very curious-looking fan among the crowd.
Seeing some pointy ears and a body covered in fur, Steven soon realized that a dog made his way into the concert hall.
Musical Dog
At first, Steven thought that the dog came to the concert with his hooman, but after taking a closer look, he understood that she was there all by herself.
“The dog seemed very comfortable and [was] having a good time. As we walked towards the stadium, the dog was right there the whole way,” said Steven
Even though the dog got out of Steven’s sight, it was later confirmed that the pup managed to find her own seat among the crowd.
Later on, a picture of the dog emerged showing her looking at the stage where the band was performing, seeming as if she was enjoying every second of the show.
When the concert staff saw this dog all alone, they initially thought she had been cruelly abandoned there by her owners.
They carefully showed her the way out of the stadium, placing her with the local Inglewood shelter.
Solving The Mystery
It was later learned and confirmed on Metallica’s official Facebook page that the adorable pup actually sneaked out of her home and made her way to the concert all by herself.
“You might have heard we had a four-legged fan join us for #M72LA! Despite reports to the contrary, our friend Storm snuck out of her home adjacent to SoFi Stadium and made her way to the gig all by herself,” wrote the post.
As it turned out, the dog, named Storm, actually lives very close to the stadium, so making her way over there, curious to see what was going on, was no issue at all.
But, worry not! After spending the night at the shelter, Storm was safely returned to her home and loving hoomans.
When Steven found out the entirety of the funny story that he had witnessed the night of the concert, he was both amused and relieved.
I was surprised that she ran away [from home] but thought it was funny that [she] went inside the stadium. I joked that she wanted to watch Metallica, and that she wanted to hear [the Metallica song] ‘Wherever I May Roam.’
