Life can be very cruel sometimes. It is full of ups and downs, but it is tough when it disables you at the start and makes the search for a happy existence even more difficult.
Unfortunately, the environment is often judgmental, so it makes the whole situation even more complex, and that can completely break someone.
However, there are soft-hearted people who are always ready to help even those in the most challenging situations.
You are about to witness a story about a man and his organization, whose motto is “Saving souls”, which saved this poor animal whose soul was just about to break.
Her Differences Were Just An Extra Motivation
Tye Friis is a man whose love for animals, particularly dogs, has led him to achieve some big things.
He started off as an animal rescuer, but he has yet to be satisfied with the ordinary cases. His true motivation was the most difficult problems within the animal world.
So, he decided to establish an animal rescue company named B.O.S.S. Farms, meaning “Built On Saving Souls”, in Leona Valley, California. Indeed, in a very short time, this company has saved many souls who were in dire need of help.
One of those poor souls was a sweet little French Bulldog puppy with special needs, whom he named Nuggy, A.K.A. Chicken Nugget.
Nuggy was incontinent, which meant she couldn’t control her bowel movements and urine. She also had deformities in her back legs that made regular movements of the joints much harder.
Nuggy was given up because she couldn’t be sold by a breeder. Usually, breeders put these dogs down because no one will take them.
However, that’s where Tye and his rescue organization came in and save the day. That moment, her successful road to rehabilitation began, just like her unbreakable bond with the new foster dad.
Start Of The Most Successful Rehab
Because she wasn’t able to use her back legs properly, in the beginning, Nuggy used to hop. According to Tye, she’d be kind of like a bunny… exceptionally enjoyable and funny.
Also, as she wasn’t able to control her bowel movements and urine, Nuggy made a bit of a mess around the house, but we won’t go into details about that.
Tye changed her diet to suit her so that such situations will no longer occur. Aside from that, although he constantly monitors her, he lets her walk as much as possible to strengthen her muscles that have to bear the load when moving.
“Within the first three weeks that she was with me, she was already climbing the little stairs up to the couch to get to my big dog, Goliath, so that she could climb all over him,” Tye said for The Dodo.

It was truly an incredibly short time in which Nuggy managed to progress and even start walking so fast that her foster dad was unable to catch up.
Tye said that he believes that such a drastic change happened mainly because he treated her like an ordinary dog, i.e. he didn’t let her know that she was different from others and had special needs.
Nuggy was on the verge of a full recovery. The only thing she still needed was a forever home.
Despite Everything, A Happy Furever Home
Only about a month after she was rescued, Nuggy got the happiest news. Against all odds, a little Bulldog that was not able to walk by herself and was ruthlessly thrown on the street got her forever family in California.
Luckily, for Nuggy, her new parents were so amazing that they immediately put her into a special rehab program. Most importantly, they gave her a lot of love and attention, without which, this little baby simply would not thrive.
In addition to her best human friends, Nuggy was warmly welcomed by a cute little animal crew. Pups Love, Buster, and Candice, as well as kitty, Fig, accepted her as if she had always been a member of this happy family.
Fig and Nuggy have a special bond, and we hope that this happy story will last as long as possible and that Nuggy will continue to shine in her full glory.
