Lost Dog Can’t Contain Happiness As She Sees Her Mom And Dad Again After Weeks

Admin

Losing a dog is probably one of the most stressful experiences for the owner and the dog, but, on the other hand, being reunited has to be 100% the best feeling ever.

Ashley, a Siberian Husky mix from Savannah, Georgia, went missing after the pet sitter forgot to lock the door, and she got out and ran away.

She was missing for over two weeks until her owner, Brittney Novickis McCarthy, received a text regarding another dog that might be hers…

Beware: You might cry at this heartwarming reunion!

Reunited And It Feels So Good

When Ashley went missing, Brittney and her whole family looked for her every day for hours. The whole community helped them, including their friends and families.

But, after over two weeks of endless searching, they slowly started losing hope that they would ever find her.

Until…

One day, Brittney received a text from Hailey Lingo, who, according to Halifax Humane Society, is an advocate for lost and found dogs.

Hailey thought that Ashley was actually a dog named Kit, which was available for adoption at Halifax Humane Society, so she decided to contact Brittney.

When the owners saw the picture of the dog, ‘Kit’, they immediately thought it looked like their Ashley.

The most shocking thing was that the dog was at a shelter in Daytona Beach, Florida, almost 300 miles from their place, and in a completely different state.

How Ashley got there, we will never know. But, she’s with her family now, and that’s the most important thing.

As soon as Ashley saw her mom and dad, she started jumping up and down in her kennel, barking happily, and her tail was spinning like a propeller.

There was no doubt in the world it was their Ashley.

Best Reunion Ever

“It was crazy that someone found a picture of her and was in a shelter about 300 miles away. We couldn’t be more excited that we found her. It was actually a bit more surreal,” Brittney told The Dodo.

Ashley was very excited to be back home and reunited with all her siblings. The energy in the house went back up immediately.

As soon as they returned to Georgia, the family had Ashley microchipped to prevent this from happening ever again.

Not only was Ashley happily reunited with her family, but she also became famous worldwide for her uncontrollable joy as she set her eyes on her beloved mom and dad after weeks of separation.

This story should be a reminder to everyone to never lose hope because your dog might be there somewhere just waiting for you, just like Ashley was.
