Ladies and gents, meet Corbin, the 160-pound boi whose specialty is fostering infant kittens together with his mom!
You’ve read it right!
Not only does this gentle giant get along with his feline friends in such a beautiful way, but he’s practically a full-time foster dad! After they’re fed by Corbin’s mom, Karen, his “part of the job” is to warm, nurture, and clean them – like their real mom would do.
He has been an amazing foster to many kittens, but one particular furry boi stole his heart and made Corbin welcome him into his lovely family.

Corbin’s Special Bond With Kittens
Corbin’s special bond with his tiny furriends isn’t exactly news! Together with his owner, Karen, this beautiful, black Great Dane fostered hundreds of orphaned kittens.
Sometimes, there is something deep inside him that makes Corbin so gentle around them, and he feels the urge to nurture them back to normal life.
“Some sort of maternal instinct kicks in with him and he becomes the gentle giant around kittens,” Karen told The Dodo.
He’s the family’s good boy. Corbin gets along with everyone he meets – cats, dogs, and other people.
His wonderful personality is the reason why kittens feel at home when they’re around Corbin, as he’s just the ultimate brother to everyone!
Potato – The Unexpected Brother
When Potato came in for fostering, he was very small and weak, and he definitely needed a lot of attention.
This tiny little kitten was motherless, he was just a few days old, and he definitely didn’t grow as much as he should have at this stage, so Karen needed to take care of him around the clock.
She bottle-fed him, kept him warm, and she made sure he had everything he needed. But, then – Corbin stepped in!
He gave Potato the sweetest kiss and welcomed him into the family, and that was the moment Karen knew – Corbin switched into his fostering mode!
“Corbin is being very good and gentle. Potato is adorable. He’s small and feisty and has the cutest little meow,” Karen wrote on Instagram.
He literally took half of the job from his momma. Every time Potato is done eating, Corbin will take him to his doggo bed and clean him. Potato is very comfy around Corbin. In a way, he sees him as his real mom.

He keeps Potato warm and cozy, and every time he feels restless or insecure, Corbin will calm him with his big, gentle kisses!
As time went by, Potato came out of his shell and started exhibiting his true personality! Despite his miniature size, he’s definitely got the spunk. And, he definitely gets the zoomies every day during play time!
Potato soon became the family’s entertainment! His cheerful personality soon made both Karen and Corbin fall in love with him, which is why this long-time foster mom decided that she had to keep him in her home – for good!
Still In Love
Day after day, Potato has grown into a wonderful cat. And yet – he never lost his kitten sparkle that he had during his first days around Corbin!
Corbin and Potato still get along pretty amazingly. Their bond is even stronger, and they definitely don’t know life without each other anymore.
“He kept him entertained. He kept him company. They love each other, and yet one’s a 160-pound Great Dane and the other one’s a 2-pound cat right now,” says Karen.

Potato’s still the family’s silliest boi, but now, just like his giant brother – he has one extra role! He has also become a foster to tiny kittens that keep coming to Karen’s home, and together with brother Corbin, he’s doing an amazing job!
Once an orphaned kitten that didn’t stand a chance alone in the cruel world, Potato’s now the happiest cat ever, and he has the greatest brother in the world – the Great Dane, Corbin!
