Shelter Pup Can’t Stop Crying When She Discovers Love And Safety For The First Time

Admin

Several million pets are surrendered to shelters every year. Unfortunately, it seems that this figure is only growing from year to year. Shelters are overcrowded and many dogs and other pets do not make it to the next day.

This is a sad reality, but there are also those bright cases that always bring a smile back to our faces and hope for a better tomorrow.

One New York City Pittie who was saved from euthanization in the shelter demonstrated what those moments mean in a heartwarming video.

These are scenes that did not leave anyone indifferent.

Cries Of Pure Joy

On December 6, 2023, a TikTok user @thekatielally, shared a video that quickly attracted attention and touched many souls.

The heart of her story is summarized in a caption that reads:  “Foster dog that just left the shelter, learning love and safety for the first time ever. All she wants is love and comfort in this moment. So many people have let her down she doesn’t know how to relax. But that’s okay, cry it out, I’ve got time. She is available for adoption and looking for her forever home through Waldo’s Rescue Pen.”

This two-year-old Pit Bull’s name is Callie, but her foster mom named her Christmas Spectacular because she came in Christmas-themed transport to New York City from a euthanasia shelter located in the south.

Her foster mom, Katie Lally, who posted the video on TikTok, took her in immediately when she heard that she was only a short time away from euthanasia. From that moment on, her new life began, and Katie could not hide her happiness to have her.

“Her tail wags on walks around her new neighborhood as she meets people and dog friends. Inside, she is a complete cuddle-bug. All she wants to do is curled up next to you. She has small bursts of playtime with toys and loves a good bone. She is very gentle in the way she receives treats and is working on learning tricks,” Katie said in an interview for Newsweek.

She just needed a furever home, for which she turned to Santa, himself, but he postponed that gift for next year and gave her something perhaps even more beautiful.

Happiest Christmas Gift

Two days after posting the first video about Christmas Spectacular, Katie posted another in which she announced spectacular news about her foster pup. Although many people speculated in the comments as to what it could be, a few hit it off.

Then, on December 12, everyone who was eagerly waiting for the news about Christmas Spectacular finally got a notification from a new post on TikTok.

“UPDATE or should I say pupdate 🐾🐾 we are going to need some help finding homes once these babies are old enough ❤️,” it read in the video caption.

Yes, it was the best gift any mother could wish for – Christmas Spectacular was pregnant with six puppies. Both she and her mom were over the moon for that moment to come.

Finally, two days after Christmas, it happened. Bitty Baby, Rainbow Brite, Sega Genesis, Teddy Ruxpin, G.I.Jane, and Pretty Pretty Prince came into the world and gave their mom the greatest joy.

In the video published by @waldorescue, they wrote that the mom and the puppies will be available for adoption on February 5, 2024, and that they will be able to go home to their adopters on February 19.

This Pittie, who was on the verge of euthanasia not so long ago, has already experienced many happy moments in such a short time. So, we do not doubt that this story will have its happiest ending and that the brave mama and her babies will find their forever homes.
