Many people say there is no better feeling than when you can help someone and make that person happy again.
Helping animals can be just as rewarding, if not more so. And, what is more heart-filling than being able to help man’s four-legged best friend, the dog?
Some people, like today’s story hero, Prue, found the purpose of their lives in doing such noble things, even creating an entire organization that improves the lives of pups.
Today’s story is one of many similar stories written by these people with big hearts. But, because of an amazing ending, it is truly inspiring and special.
The Cruel Streets That Caused Her So Much Visible Pain
It was November 2017, and Prue, the founder of Mission Pawsible, suddenly got a phone call from her good friend that one dog from the streets needed help urgently.
When she heard that the dog was in very bad physical condition and didn’t have a single hair on its body, she didn’t wait a minute to take action.
Prue and the people from her team quickly located her, but the problem was that the dog was so frightened that they could not catch it. She wouldn’t let anyone get close to her.
Prue came up with a brilliant idea. She prepared cat food in a bowl, along with a sedation pill, and mixed it up. After that, they put it in a strategic location where they could capture her.
“It was a little chaotic because she could go anywhere,” Prue said for The Dodo “But we were very lucky because she chose to go inside a garage.”
Because she got drowsy after eating, they could finally get a slip leash over her neck and begin with one of the most wonderful transformations you’ll ever see.
The Beginning Of An Unbelievable Transformation
As soon as they brought her to safety, her recovery slowly began. Belle, as they named her, was still very scared and shy, and Prue knew that this was going to be a very difficult task. But, she just had to help this poor pup.
Since Belle had serious health problems, they had to take her to the vet first. She needed to decompress and grow her hair back. Because of this, she stayed at the clinic for about three weeks.
During that time, Prue would go in every few days and hand-feed her, trying to get her to bond, relax, and regain her trust in people.
“I got her some little jammies to keep her warm,” Prue said. Unfortunately, no matter how hard she tried, Belle still trembled as soon as she got a little closer because she hadn’t fully started trusting people yet.
“I never saw her want to trust me,” Prue confirmed disappointedly “We never got that moment of: We got there.”
The good news was that Belle was making a successful recovery. She started to eat regularly and her hair slowly started to grow. For Prue, it was definitely a glimmer of hope that led her to believe in a happy ending.
Through The Pain To Heaven
After three weeks of recovery in the clinic, something happened that would change the life of this suffering dog forever.
When Prue’s good friend, Kaho, saw the pictures of Belle, she immediately stated: “I definitely need to help this poor dog!” From that moment on, Belle finally got her temporary home and a new foster mom. That was actually her new beginning.
As Kaho had guessed, it was not at all easy in the beginning because for two weeks, Belle was constantly under the bed.
She left her comfort zone only when she really had to, which was when she had to go to the bathroom or to eat. When Kaho would try to get close to her, Belle would just start to crawl.
However, Kaho did not give up, and little by little, a miracle began to happen. Slowly, Belle started to get out of bed and even hang out with the other two dogs.
After almost three months, Belle finally came close to Kaho and regained trust. She even started rubbing and cuddling. After so long, she was finally able to be happy.

After almost one year, Belle was a reborn pup full of cheerfulness and love. At the same time, she developed a strong character after all that suffering, but she remained very gentle.
However, the most important thing was that Belle bonded strongly with her new foster mom.
That’s why Kaho decided to become her real mom and, at the same time, her best friend.
After all those years of suffering, a sad dog without a single hair on her head, who forgot what it means to love, started to shine again with full brilliance and spread love as only a dog knows and can.
