Woman Drives All The Way To Wisconsin To Save A Dog With A Very Unique Bark

When a 1.8 pound Yorkie named Pipsqueak came to his new family, they were told that she only had about six more months to live.

However, this did not end up being true.

Pipsqueak apparently came from a puppy mill, which ended up being raided. A rescuer saved her and managed to get her into a foster home.

Unfortunately, Pipsqueak’s foster dad had to get a lung transplant, which meant that all of the foster pets had to be relocated.

Pipsqueak’s new mom had just moved to Indiana, and since she knew her former foster parents, she decided to take Pipsqueak in and be her new foster.

“I got in my car and drove up to Wisconsin to get Pip and it was supposed to be a temporary foster and we foster failed pretty fast,” said Pip’s mom.

Pip’s new parents also had in mind that there was a possibility that they were adopting a dog who only had a couple of months left.

However, to their delight, Pipsqueak ended up staying with them for more than 8 years.

Unique Bark

After Pip got comfortable in her new home, she decided to bark at her new parents, telling them how much she appreciated them.

And, as she did, she left her new mom quite confused.

I thought ‘Ohh, something is wrong with this dog’. We say she barks like a duck, but she quacks at us.

After some time getting used to this new sound, Pip’s parents started to understand her unique language.

They now know when she wants to go outside or have a treat by simply listening to her little barks.

She uses her voice constantly since she physically can’t get around as well. We were very dedicated to around-the-clock care.

Unfortunately, most of Pip’s medical issues are related to her poor breeding. Since smaller dogs cost more, they are bred with smaller dogs, which may cause some health issues with the puppies.

Chain Of Events

Pip’s parents were so delighted with having her as their little baby that they decided they needed more little dogs in their lives.

In the end, they have adopted six additional small dogs that are either senior, special needs, or have some kind of behavioral issue.

Having such a sweet little family, these hoomans took their jobs as doggo parents very seriously and made sure that each and every one of them had exactly what they needed.

We have a whole wall downstairs with all of their medications written on it. It can be expensive. Pip’s adoption fee was $0 and we’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars on her since then because of surgeries and all of that stuff. But it is so worth it.

No amount of money spent can buy the little doggo the happiness that is filling up their house every day.

New Life

Pipsqueak plays a very important role while her parents foster or adopt a dog.

As soon as new paws enter their home, Pip is on her way to greet them, snuggling with them and making them feel welcome.

Apart from this, Pip keeps on reminding her parents every day of how amazing and strong of a dog she truly is.

What we noticed from the beginning was she was such a fighter. She never gives up, even when she doesn’t feel good, even when she’s tired, she keeps going.

Despite all of the medical issues she was faced with, Pip kept on wagging her tail through her life, showing everybody around that everything is possible as soon as you set your mind to it.
