There are so many homeless animals wandering around and fending for themselves. It is sad to even think about it, but that is the reality of this cruel world.
That’s why it is always touching to hear the life stories of these animals that had their happy ending. Just such a story began at the edge of one forest where a man noticed a lost animal walking aimlessly.
His big heart immediately made him call his wife for help in a mission of rescuing this poor creature.
A Remarkable Journey Of A Stray Dog
Bill was working on a computer in his home office when he saw the lost animal out the window.
Although it was quite difficult to tell, he soon realized that it was a dog. It was immediately clear to him that this poor guy was in a very bad state.
He told his wife, Krista, to call a local rescue for help. Soon, their search team tracked him down and he was finally in safe hands. But, the condition in which they found him was truly shocking, even worse than Bill had first thought.
“The appearance of him – it’s something that you can’t describe,” Krista said in the video published by The Dodo. “Your heart jumps into your throat because you just dont understand how an animal can get like that.”
For the first couple of days in the hospital, even the vets weren’t sure if he would survive. However, then, it was as if the whole universe united to give this poor dog his life back.
Although the bills for numerous treatments and operations kept piling up, the good people who heard about his difficult story on the internet paid more and more money. Ultimately, more was paid than was necessary.
“The community just amazed me,” Krista said. “I was brought to tears so many times with just how generous and supportive everyone was.”
After winning his toughest battle, Billy, as Bill and Krist named him, headed to his new foster home. Through these difficult times that they spent together, this big-hearted couple became so attached to Billy that they couldn’t just leave him like that.
Billy Became A Foster Failure
When he came to his new foster home, it was as if he had always belonged there. His health was still nowhere near the best, but a lot of love and attention from his foster parents worked wonders.
He started gaining weight and his health results began to skyrocket.
In addition to hooman support, his new canine brothers also welcomed him with open paws. Remington and Diesel were truly a salve for all his wounds, and with Remington, he formed a particularly strong bond.
Day by day, his life was becoming a greater blessing. Then, one day, everything culminated when his parents realized that he was a “foster fail”.
Yes, this once-sick stray dog was now a full-fledged member of a loving family and he couldn’t hide his delight.
However, it could be said that even that was not his greatest life achievement. Billy became a star all over the world, and his story is an inspiration for so many people.

“I think he’s brought a lot of people together,” Krista proudly concluded.
