A mother’s love is never questionable, even in the dog world.
With their babies around, mom doggos become these superheroic little creatures that watch over their babies non-stop. And, when times are tough, they won’t even shy away from crossing mountains just to make their tiny ones safe.
One such case of pure love was posted by the organization called Animal Rescue. The mom – Nola – was found with her newborn babies in terrible condition. She protected them with all she had, but sadly, her story hid so much more!
Nola And The Babies Had Nowhere To Go
Rescuers were utterly shocked when they stumbled upon a stray canine mom, later named Nola, and her babies under an abandoned tent. The entire family lived near a dangerous highway, only a couple of steps from what could be a horrific accident.
The good people immediately stopped in their tracks to help the little ones when they discovered something truly heartbreaking.
The mom, Nola, wasn’t moving at all. She seemed completely paralyzed during the rescue and couldn’t even hold her head straight.
All she begged for with her sorrowful eyes was that her babies would be safe. And, from that moment on, she put all of her trust in humanity.
The next day, after this furry family was removed from the dangerous spot and brought to a temporary shelter, Nola and her pups needed to be examined.
Sadly, as the rescuers suspected, Nola’s diagnosis wasn’t easy. She had a spinal fracture – a severe injury that required immediate surgery and a long, thorough recovery process.
The dog seemed so unwell and in pain that she couldn’t hide it from her face. She couldn’t help but exhibit the saddest expression, hiding what once was her captivating smile.
But, the good news was – her hoomans didn’t want to give up on her!
The Road To Recovery
It was a long few hours, but eventually, Nola’s surgery went extremely well!
After all the hardship she had gone through in the past, her injury was finally treated. And now, again, Nola’s hope is back!
The shadow of her smile appeared on her hauntingly cute face. Even though she had a long recovery road ahead of herself, she began to believe that one day, she’d be able to play with her babies again.
Nola’s unbreakable spirit made this process extremely fast, though! In just a few short weeks, our brave girl showed how great of a fighter she is – with some slight movements and a smile.
The rescuers made sure to get Nola a customized wheelchair, too.
Now, she’s able to enjoy outdoor activities next to her babies, watching over them like the caring momma she is.
With every new day, Nola is getting better, as well as her puppies.
When the time is right, this furrtastic family will embark on a quest to find a place to call their own. And, with no doubt, they will make excellent companions once that happens!
Fingers crossed, little buddies!
