In a surprising moment, a female elephant was recently photographed in an adorable pose that left viewers in awe. The picture was taken while she was strolling with a baby elephant and other members of her herd.

This captivating snapshot was captured through the lens of Renata Ewald, an experienced wildlife photographer based in South Africa, at the expansive Kruger National Park. Ewald, 51, expressed her astonishment at this unique sight, something she had never witnessed during her many visits to the park.

“I happened to come across this breeding herd of elephants early in the morning and kept a respectful distance as I marveled at their calmness,” Ewald recalled. “This particular female elephant caught my attention because her chest was significantly larger than that of a typical elephant, and it was clearly visible from both sides.” This moment was remarkable as Ewald captured the full view of the elephant’s large chest, drawing a comparison between this female elephant and human women. The unusual sight left both her and those witnessing it amazed.

“It was unbelievable to witness this scene. The resemblance between the elephant’s chest and a woman’s chest was astounding; it felt like I was looking at a woman,” Ewald noted.

As a self-proclaimed elephant enthusiast, Ewald expressed the joy she experiences during encounters with these magnificent creatures, especially when she has the chance to observe baby elephants within the herd. This particular event holds a special place in her heart due to the playful atmosphere surrounding the elephants.

She hopes that such snapshots can help people appreciate elephants more and raise awareness about their dire circumstances.

“It’s heartbreaking to know that these creatures, who are pregnant for 21 months, often suffer terrible fates due to elephant poaching,” she lamented.

Finally, Ewald emphasized the intellectual strength of these gentle giants, underscoring their close family bonds. “They have remarkable similarities to humans and deserve to be respected in the same way,” she emphasized.
