I know I don’t look pretty but I hope to receive everyone’s wishes on my birthday today

Orange was a dog unlike any other. His fur was a dull, muddy brown, and his eyes were a cloudy grey. He was often teased by the other dogs in the neighborhood, who called him “ugly” and “different.” Orange knew he was not the most attractive dog, but he longed for the companionship and affection that others seemed to receive so easily.

Today was Orange’s birthday, a day he had been dreading for weeks. He knew that the other dogs would likely ignore him, and that his human might forget all about it. As he sat alone in his kennel, his tail hung low, and his eyes were filled with sadness.

As the day wore on, Orange heard the sounds of laughter and celebration from the other dogs in the neighborhood. He could hear them playing fetch, barking excitedly, and receiving treats from their humans. Orange’s heart ached with longing. He wished he could be like them, carefree and loved.

Just as Orange was about to give up hope, he heard a familiar voice calling his name. It was his human, Sarah. She was holding a small, wrapped package. “Happy birthday, Orange!” she said, kneeling down to pet him.

Orange’s tail wagged tentatively as he took the package from Sarah. He tore it open to find a new toy, a bright red ball that squeaked when he squeezed it. Sarah threw the ball for him, and Orange chased after it, his ears perked up and his eyes sparkling with excitement.

As the day went on, Sarah spent more time with Orange than usual. She played with him, gave him extra treats, and showered him with affection. Orange felt loved and accepted for the first time in a long time.

That night, as Orange lay curled up in his kennel, he felt a sense of peace and contentment. He had received a birthday wish from his human, and he had enjoyed a day of play and companionship. Even though he was not the most beautiful dog, he knew that he was loved, and that was all that mattered.
