Luna’s life had a terrible start. When she was born, she went through an incredible trauma. No puppy should have to go through something like that.
First, she was dumped at a shelter where rescuers immediately took her in because they realized she was seriously injured.
Imagine this… a newborn puppy had a skull fracture, a broken jaw, and a cleft lip. The injuries were likely caused by other humans, and that is just tragic.
Things were not going too well for Luna. Even though she was in safe hands at the vet, she was still struggling a lot.
Is She Going To Be Euthanized
Because of her cleft lip, a lot of people overlooked her, and it was tough for Luna to find a suitable home.
This was through no fault of her own. The poor puppy just wanted a chance, but nobody was willing to give it to her. To make matters worse, some bad news came for Luna.
If she does not find a home or a suitable shelter, then she will probably have to be euthanized. After this news, she was taken to the vet for a checkup.
They had found that her injuries had healed up nicely. The swelling went down, but her fractures are still causing her problems, and she is just not ready for surgery quite yet.
When one of the doctors at the clinic realized that Luna couldn’t breathe properly, he improvised a breathing tube for her so she could sleep soundly at night.
This was a great and clever solution. It helped dear Luna tremendously. In the care of her veterinarians, she made a great recovery.
Her mood has changed with time, and she is more interested in playing with her vets with each passing day. They gave Luna her first bath, and she looked like she really enjoyed it.
She spends time with her rescuers at the shelter, and they make sure that she receives all the necessary treatments. Anytime something seems off, they take her back.
Luna Is Getting A New Chance
It’s so wonderful to see that Luna has such amazing people around her. After a few more days, she received her shots and was almost ready to be placed on an adoption list.
When that day finally came, the rescuers were so proud of her and the progress she made. They spent quality time with her because they wanted to enjoy their time with her.
Soon enough, she found a forever home. Everyone was sad to see her leave but happy that she had found the most amazing family she could ask for.
Now that she has met her new parents, her life has changed completely. Her family loves her despite her many issues, and they are still treating her medical problems. Who could really ask for better parents than this?
She also has quite a few dog and cat siblings she can play with any time she gets bored. They have accepted her as family and it’s always heartwarming to see them have fun.
Even though Luna receives treatment regularly, she will still need surgery for the fractures and her cleft palate.
While we don’t exactly know when that will happen, I am hopeful everything will turn out well for Luna because she is just the bravest and most enduring dog, and she deserves a chance at a really normal life.
