Woman Heartbroken After Discovering Helpless Dog Tied To A Pole On The Street

They say that time heals a broken heart. While this is often true, sometimes it takes a whole eternity for a dog to overcome its trauma from the past.

Their scars heal slowly, yet a mere breeze of a past memory can trigger that fear all over again.

One teeny-tiny dog experienced such fear when his previous owners tied him to a pole on the street and abandoned him there. All alone, scared of everything, and in constant danger, the dog froze, waiting for someone kind enough to help him.

Nobody Stopped To Help

People passed by, but no one stopped to extend a friendly hand to this poor canine. The most anyone did was take a photo of him before continuing on their way.

The dog was desperate for help, yet he couldn’t do anything about it, and that broke his heart even more.

Then, a hooman-shaped miracle appeared!

After a long night on the street, one kind soul stepped up to rescue the dog. It was Suzette Hall, a well-known rescuer and the founder of Logan’s Legacy in Irvine, California.

“He was there all night tied to that pole,” Hall wrote in a Facebook post.

After assessing the dog’s situation, Hall was completely heartbroken. She couldn’t believe that despite so many passersby, no one had come to this pup’s aid before her.

“I can’t believe how many people commented that saw him tied there and just took pictures. Well, I have him safe,” Hall added.

She safely untied the dog and then slowly scooped him up, loading him into her car. The rest, as they say, is history!

When she placed the dog in the front seat, he was still evidently in shock. The pup trembled, and at the same time, gave Hall the sweetest look as if he were saying “Thank you, kind hooman” for helping me out of this situation.

After a few brief moments of getting to know each other, Hall gave the dog gentle cuddles on the head.

She reassured him that from now on, everything would be okay and that the worst part is over.

“I told him we would figure it all out. The best part and my favorite part is he knew it was going to be ok, and fell asleep driving to my vet,” Hall concluded in the post.

The next thing she knew, the dog was taken to a local Southern California vet clinic, where he would be assessed for possible health issues.

In the meantime, Hall and her compassionate team of rescuers will continue to help dogs in need. Sadly, the number of canines being abandoned in the streets is greater than ever, and they, just like our little pole buddy, desperately need someone to care for them.

Good luck, Suzette, and keep up the kind work. The world is happy to have you!
