When a man was having a nice, relaxing walk by a riverbank, he suddenly heard strange sounds coming from the water.
Looking down at it, the man noticed a little helpless pup who fell in and was unable to get out.
No matter how hard he tried, the bank’s slope was so steep that the pup would end up sliding down into the water again.
Seeing this heartbreaking scene, the man knew he had to do something!
Rescue Mission
After looking around the area, the man found a sturdy rope. He immediately knew that this was the perfect thing to get the poor pup back to safety.
The man secured one end of the rope to a railing while carefully sliding down the slope, getting closer and closer to the pup.
When he finally got to the pup, he grabbed him by the collar and slowly pulled up both himself and the dog with his other hand.
Even though the man could barely catch his breath, he knew that the pup was absolutely terrified. That is why he gave him some yummy food and hoped that it would help him understand that the man was his friend.
Luckily, it worked!
The pup was so thankful to the hooman that he gladly followed him home where he started a life full of love and hope.
Things Really Do Get Better
When the pup, now named Teddy, first entered his home, he wasn’t really sure what to think.
The new environment was super overwhelming to him, making him shiver and shake in his sleep. Luckily, the hooman stayed by the pup’s side, reassuring him that everything would be okay and making him feel more secure.
The very next morning, Teddy’s new hooman decided to make him a delicious breakfast, hoping that it would get the pup on his paws and ready to embrace his new life and family.
Teddy happily cleaned up the entire plate and was so happy that he started playing with his new furry sibling, a cat named Tun.
Ever since, the two became inseparable. They would spend hours playing, making each other feel loved and appreciated.
Teddy also adored going on walks with his hooman. Whenever they would go to the park, the pup would happily run around on the grass, showing everybody just how fast he was.
As the days went by, Teddy started gaining a lot of healthy weight, giving him more than enough energy to play around all day!
Seeing Teddy transform from a sad, dirty pup into the most handsome boy ever brought immense joy to the hooman.
The man created such a strong bond with Teddy that keeping him in his family forever felt natural.
Ever since, Teddy and his new family have lived a life full of love, happiness, and fun, and they don’t plan on changing that.
