At a time when a heavily pregnant Golden Retriever most needed human love and compassion, heartless people kicked her out of her home.
After she was dumped on someone’s property in Rio Grande Valley in Texas, the soon-to-be-mother felt broken and let down.
The canine, later named Honey, dragged her heavy and tired paws and crawled underneath the house of a family she had never seen in her life.
The brave doggo welcomed her puppies into the world, kissed them tenderly, and held them in her embrace.
With her whole heart, Honey hoped that the residents wouldn’t chase her and her babies away.
Rescuing Honey And Her Pups
Stephanie Garcia was shocked to discover the heartbroken Golden Retriever and her puppies hiding underneath the crawl space of her house.
The woman was heartbroken when she saw Honey’s eyes filled with despair. Incredibly sad and exhausted, the doggo was pleading for help.
Garcia and her daughter rushed to help the canine family. The woman crawled on her stomach in order to reach the mother dog and her babies.
Honey felt relieved when she saw Garcia making an effort to save her and her pups. The mother trusted the kind-hearted human and let her place her puppies on a blanket.
The woman took the doggy family into her home.
Although she was never a dog lover, Garcia fell head-over-heels in love with Honey and her furbabies.
“I have never able to understand the affection a human can have for a dog. It never made any sense to me. And the day Honey and her pups came into my life I instantly fell in love. I was so overcome with emotions and fell in love,” Garcia told Newsweek.
Honey, who was covered in fleas and mud, immediately started taking care of her puppies. Garcia stayed by her side, committed to helping the brave mama nurse them to health.
She gave the mama and the puppies around-the-clock care.
Although Garcia lost her job because she was too busy caring for the doggy family, the good-hearted woman didn’t regret it.
Honey gave birth to eleven furbabies in total, but only four managed to survive their rough start in life.
Receiving The Love They Deserve
Garcia never wanted a dog, but the canine family stole her heart and became beloved members of her family. They came into her life when she and her daughter needed them the most.
Ever since Garcia tragically lost her brother three years ago, she and her daughter have been grieving.
Thanks to the lovely canine family who brought a lot of joy into their home, Garcia and her daughter began smiling again.
In her TikTok videos, Garcia revealed that she plans on keeping Honey and her pups.
The giant-hearted woman regards them as “a blessing in our lives.”
“I went from never owning a dog to being a dog mom of five. I’m learning about dogs, what to do, what not to do. I feel like the dogs give me purpose,” Garcia added.
Honey and her furballs live their best lives in Texas.
With every passing day, the puppies thrive more and more. The babies enjoy their puppyhood. They love exploring and snuggling with their mama.
Honey feels happy because she finally receives all the love she has always dreamed of.
