Out of all the animals, dogs are the one species that have the most special relationship with us. Generally, they are smart, obedient, and understand their environment well.
Still, sometimes, when we are not looking, they can be a little mischievous and end up in trouble when you least expect it.
I know this because it has happened to me and probably to everyone else at some point.
It’s not an isolated incident either. Stray pups can find themselves in similar situations. This poor mama dog was just trying to take care of her baby when something horrible happened.
A Quick Reaction
When this brave mama was just trying to find food for her baby, the newborn puppy unknowingly moved a bit too far and fell into a canal.
The water was moving fast and the baby was just trying to hang on as much as she could. She was gasping for breath any chance she could.
Her mom saw that her child was in real danger but she couldn’t jump into the water after her. She kept on looking and wondering how to help.
It was at that moment that she realized someone was approaching her. Because she was terrified of other humans, she ran away and took her distance.
The man realized the puppy didn’t have much time so he hurriedly went into action. He took the dustpan he had with him and tried to lift the puppy.
The poor baby couldn’t even see, but she understood what was going on. She was trying her hardest to cling to the dustpan, but it didn’t work.
The rescuer didn’t give up, though. He kept on trying and the puppy eventually managed to get onto the dustpan.
She Was Reunited With Her Mom
After she was secured, the kind rescuer raised the dustpan and got the puppy in a safe spot. He checked her to make sure she was okay.
It looked like she was going to be okay, and now all they needed to do was reunite her with her mom. However, that was where the problem was.
The mama dog was way too scared to approach them. They tried to get her to approach by showing her that the baby was safe, but she did not react.
They kept trying this for a while, but it was clear that she was not going to come to them, so they decided on another course of action.
The rescuers left the puppy on the ground and took their distance to see if the mama dog would come closer now that they were away.
Naturally, she realized that this was an opportunity for her, so she took it. She grabbed her puppy and the sweet mama dog was now reunited with her baby.
It’s an incredible fortune that everything turned out so well for the puppy in the end. While we don’t have any details on what happens to this small dog family, I hope they are still doing well.
