Adopting a puppy is always a very noble thing to do in life. In fact, it’s not something that only changes them, but it also helps make our lives better in so many ways.
However, if there is one thing that is always very heartwarming to see, it’s when people accidentally meet a stray puppy and decide to help it.
This sweet dog needed help and was trying to find shelter wherever he could, so he decided to rest on a random porch.
However, what he didn’t know was how this seemingly random decision would change his life completely.
Surprise, Surprise
When Mariah first saw Cooper, she was completely surprised to see him. She and her fiancé were staying in an Airbnb in West Virginia and didn’t expect any visitors.
So, out of the blue, there he was. The couple found Cooper sleeping on their porch and just hoping that somebody would come out of the house and show him some kindness.
Mariah approached him, and he seemed very happy to see her. She wanted to pet him, but he started licking her hand.
This made her feel bad for the dog, and she realized that somebody had to help him, so it might as well be her.
The sweet pup was now so happy when he realized that this amazing couple would help him recover. They examined him and came to the conclusion that he had a limp and was likely injured.
She realized something important. Her sister told her about the groups of dogs who lived nearby, and she was the one who actually named Cooper.
Cooper Finally Got A Chance
The two sisters went and bought some food for everyone. While they enjoyed their meal, Mariah wanted to learn more about their story and how they ended up there.
Because all the dogs lived in a house next door to where an old woman lived, she went and politely asked about them.
She told them that they were all pretty much stray, and her kids loved playing with them. She fed them on many occasions, and that’s why they stuck around.
All of the dogs were very friendly, and they were surprised by this. It’s clear that these people have cared well for them.
However, Cooper was the skinniest one and clearly needed help. Mariah asked her parents if they wanted a dog.
When she couldn’t convince them to adopt this pup, she and her fiancé decided to give this amazing dog a new chance.
Cooper now finally has a wonderful home with some amazing people. Who would have thought that this accidental encounter would change his life forever? I am really glad to see he is now enjoying his life.
