There is something profoundly beautiful about the work animal rescuers do. It’s really hard to put into words.
It’s amazing to be able to help a struggling dog and completely turn their life around. Finding them a wonderful home will also make someone’s life even better.
Luckily, there are many people like this and they work tirelessly to help all the animals they can. This small puppy was unfortunately abandoned because he had scabies.
His neglectful owners left him near a road and he spent the entire time waiting for somebody to help him.
They Rushed To Help
When the rescuers were finally notified about this small puppy, they came to his aid. Upon inspecting him at first, they were shocked by his condition.
He couldn’t open his eyes, he was really dirty, and he had scabies. The puppy was also really weak due to malnutrition and couldn’t move much.
The rescuers decided to take the puppy, now named Merit, to a veterinarian clinic so he could receive the treatment he deserved.
It was only luck that the rescuers arrived when they did because this poor puppy wouldn’t have survived much longer.
When he finally arrived at the clinic, the rescuers fed him because he couldn’t eat on his own. Later, he received a checkup.
Merit received a very long treatment. The vets removed the ticks, fleas, and worms from his fur and gave him a very thorough bath.
There were still some problems with his eyes because the eyelashes constantly curled into them.
After the treatment was finally over, they gave him a nice meal, but he ended up vomiting most of it. They realized that they were going to have to be careful with his diet.
Things Are Finally Changing
Even after three days of treatment, Merit was still in a lot of pain. However, after a few more days, things slowed down a bit, and he began to open his eyes.
The veterinarians are still treating him, and his progress is moving slowly. His teeth have all grown, and the only real problem left is his eyes, which are not treatable.
When Merit was discharged from the hospital, the rescuer took the sweet puppy to her home where she received plenty of warm meals and a lot of cuddles.
Merit also made friends with his rescuer’s daughter, who loves him very much. Over time, his weight had gone up significantly, and he was no longer vomiting.
She continued treating his eyes and taking care of all of his health problems, although there weren’t many.
Even though he is very young, he is already developing a personality and is starting to play a lot. Exploring his new house is his new favorite hobby.
His new family bought him many toys and clothes. He loves playing with his new plushies all the time and always takes them outside in the yard.
Every day is an amazing adventure for Merit and he couldn’t be more grateful that he got this opportunity to start over.
Despite being abandoned and left to starve on his own, this adorable puppy never gave up hope and is now living the best life, thanks to his new mom.
